1. How does Chartmetric ensure compliance with global tax regulations?

Chartmetric applies taxes in accordance with local regulations to reflect tax requirements based on subscribers’ locations. This ensures accurate invoicing and alignment with global tax standards.

2. Does this apply to all subscribers?

Yes, this change applies to all Chartmetric subscribers, including existing subscribers, in any state and country.

3. Does this mean that I have to pay extra for my subscription?

We won’t need to collect taxes for every subscriber! However based on your location and tax status we may need to collect the appropriate level of VAT, GST or Sales Tax. Typically, if an individual or organization that is subscribing to Chartmetric is registered with the relevant VAT and GST authority we will not require payment of taxes to us directly but will identify any tax due on each invoice sent to you.

4. What do I need to do?

Regulations vary between countries and states, however to ensure both you and Chartmetric are compiling with the local regulations (and you are not charged for taxes that we are not required to collect), you need ensure we have:

  • Your correct name, or the correct name for your organization if an organization or is paying for the subscription

  • The correct billing address for you or your organization

  • If applicable, a valid tax ID if you are a registered organization, individual or institution.

You can update your billing information by clicking here.

5. What if I am purchasing using a personal credit card and then expensing to my employer or another organization?

If you are not tax registered and are paying with a personal credit card and then expensing to your employer who is tax registered, you may want to enter your employer’s name as the customer name, their address as the customer address and their tax ID. Alternatively, we could invoice your employer directly. Contact [email protected] for more information

5. How will taxes be calculated?

Taxes will be calculated based on your billing address and the tax regulations of your country or state. Chartmetric’s system will automatically apply the appropriate tax rate to your invoices.

6. What happens if I don’t update my billing address?

If your billing information is incomplete or inaccurate, you may encounter issues with invoicing or tax compliance. Please check the name, address and tax ID.

7. I have already provided my billing address. Do I still need to update it?

Yes, we recommend checking that the information that we hold is still up to date.

8. What if I have questions about how these changes affect me?

Our support team is here to help! If you have any questions or need assistance, please contact us at [email protected].

9. Can I unsubscribe from emails about tax compliance updates?
