If YouTube Daily/Monthly Video Views and YouTube Audience Analytics aren't showing on an artist's page, it's most likely because the artist doesn't have a YouTube for Artists / YouTube Charts link connected to their profile.
Check if the link is connected?
In the Data Sources section (below), you can see a YouTube icon under both the Streaming Platforms link section and the Social Media link section. Unlike the YouTube icon in the Streaming section, which is colored red showing it is linked (to the artist's YouTube channel), the YouTube icon in the Social Media section is not lit up so it is not linked. This is the icon that connects to YouTube for Artist / YouTube Charts profiles.
No link, no data
The data for YouTube Daily/Monthly Video Views and YouTube Audience Analytics comes from this YouTube Charts link. This link is separate to the artist's regular YouTube channel. If your artist does not have this particular profile with YouTube, this data will not show for them on Chartmetric.
Check for profile link?
You can check if your artist has a profile on YouTube Charts here. YouTube Charts often only shows the top artists in the world at any given time, which limits the artists that have this profile link. You can read more on their methodology here.
Currently, YouTube doesn't have an application process for access and they add artists when they choose too. If you’d like for your artist to be connected to YouTube for Artists / YouTube Charts (in which case we can then attach the link in Chartmetric), you’d have to discuss this with the artist’s YouTube rep or connection. If YouTube offers a specific sign up form or process in future we will share that link.
